November 6th 2019, the opening of the collective exhibition at The Zone was the moment to experience the public’s capacity to rebel against the established power and their representatives. A gentle rebellion at the same time freindly and outlet whose act consisted to stamp the portrait of one or more Belgian and foreign political leaders. The messages of the stamps are explicit but their aggressivities are attenuated by the aesthetics of the typo as well as the irony of a contrary love. I did not take photos of the installation or the public who used the stamps, the moment was more to the debate than to the image. Some were reluctant to the concept, others (more numerous) excited by the experience. A big thank you to the people of Liège who took part in this little dissent for an evening.
Below, some examples of uncut boards.
