Evolution of Georgette, the main character in the “Chroniques de Namur”.
Georgette, a retired prostitute and now a street singer.
She is an outspoken character with a flowery speech and leads a brigade of beggars whose mission is to remove all the statues of the Virgin Mary from the city and its surroundings. She has a low tolerance of foreigners and hates Kassim (Kiss).
Georgette VS Florence:
Somewhere between reality and fiction, the character of Georgette was inspired by Florence Prignon, Namur’s most famous street singer, who died on 5 February 2023.
