“L’atelier des artistes” (The artists studio) is a 10m2 fresco created in the winter of 2024 for the non-profit association Vie Féminine in the city of Huy. Funding for the project was obtained through a call for projects entitled “A nous la rue”, an initiative of the Institut pour “l’égalité des femmes et des hommes”. Following a design proposal I made in consultation with the group of volunteers and members of Vie Féminine, I adapted it on 3 multiplex wooden panels for comfort and ease of installation during a period when the climate does not allow outdoor work.
Since 25 February 2024, “L’atelier des artistes” has been installed on the Quai d’Arona, on the wall of the former swimming pool of the city of Huy, facing the Meuse. The aim of “L’atelier des artistes” is to raise the profile of women in public space. Below you can see the different steps of the project.
